On behalf of the Agri Business Support Facility in Ethiopia and the Addis Abeba Chamber of Commerce, NABC organizes a trade mission to Ethiopia. This mission will focus on the Ethiopian herbs, spices and aromatics sector. The missions’ primary goal is to introduce Ethiopian and European companies to each other. Activities include seminars, company & field visits, business dinners and matchmaking activities. NABC will organize meetings with Ethiopian partners including producers/processors of spices, herbs & aromatics, logistic partners, quality bureaus, banks and government authorities.
Ethiopia Ethiopia is rapidly developing into a reliable source of high quality spices and agricultural products for the EU and other overseas markets. As an exporting country, Ethiopia is still relatively unknown to these international markets. Our program is focused on introducing Ethiopian businesses and promote the Ethiopian agricultural sector to European business partners. Traditionally, daily nutrition in Ethiopia is very spicy. Chilli peppers (“Berbere”), ginger and turmeric play an important role in Ethiopian dishes. But Ethiopia also produces coffee, cardamom, sweet paprika and many other agri products. The country’s potential is very big.
Tentative Program Nov 23: Arrival of delegates Nov 24: Plenary meeting in Addis Abeba + Seminar Nov 25: Field visit to ginger & turmeric production areas Nov 26: Field visit to spice processors and logistic partners in Addis Abeba + B2B matchmaking Nov 27: Visit to capsicum production areas & Mojo Dry Port Nov 28: Individual appointments
